After giving up the discipline of journaling, I realized that I still wanted to note some significant things in my life. And it so happens that "blogging" has all the elements of journaling that I really find easier and technically more advanced. Blogging allows you to be organized and clean. And there's no handwriting involved; you can even erase and edit all you want. And what I find really helpful, is that this blog serves as a place where I can post things that I want to really remember: like quotes or verses that stuck out to me, personal reading reviews (to help with memory), favorite videos that bring a smile, family/friends photos, and yep, practically anything that is under the sun.
My true desire though is to simply capture the grace of God in everyday life.
Which leads ultimately to this -> if you really want to know the truth regarding significant things in my life, I have to admit that there isn't much. However, I must say that there is really only one thing that does count for true significance, and that is in regards to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is what makes my insignificance -> significant. He is the way, the truth and the life. He has saved me from my sins and has embraced me with this love. As the blind man said: I was blind but now I see. He died for me and gave Himself up for me - that's significant. God became man, to only die and to be raised up on account of me! That is a mystery that I will never truly comprehend.
So with that truth in mind, my desire is that this blog would be where I remember and capture this great adventure that I'm on - as I grow in the grace and knowledge of my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. And I think Galatians 2:20 is a verse that I hope would summarize my life...that it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. I just want to be more like Christ, as one who has tasted His goodness and His salvation.
